Kirkby and BKT join forces at Brityrex 2010;
Tyre Industry Federation confirms member’s lounge and business briefings
Kirkby Tyres and major Indian tyre maker BKT are joining forces at October’s Brityrex International exhibition to promote their new distribution agreement in the UK market.
The Liverpool based wholesaler is planning an attention-grabbing presence at the UK’s only independent tyre industry exhibition, with a highly visible liveried exhibition trailer positioned prominently outside the main entrance doors to the show. Kirkby sales and technical staff will be on-hand to talk about the company’s major agency brands, in particular BKT and also the well established Alliance range of industrial, forestry, OTR and agricultural and Double Coin ranges of truck, OTR and earthmover
Dave Richardson, Kirby’s product manager for the BKT brand explains: ‘Our relationship with BKT in the UK is quite new so Brityrex provides us with a great opportunity to work together to promote the brand and the business relationship to end users. We will be directing customers from our trailer to the BKT stand inside the hall and we’ll also have one of our technical experts working from the stand. It should be a perfect showcase for both of our businesses.”
Meanwhile, Tyre Industry Federation members visiting the show will be able to take advantage of meeting and refreshment facilities in a lounge area provided by the NTDA.
The association has decided to open up its lounge for wider use by TIF associates including members of the BTMA, ITMA, TRA, RMA and NTDA. The lounge will offer comfortable private seating for business meetings and complimentary refreshments throughout the exhibition.
The area will also serve as the venue for a series of three short, 30-minute briefings organised by the Tyre Industry Federation to update industry executives on the latest legislative requirements covering key industry issues such as tyre marking and noise regulations.
“We are delighted that the TIF has taken up the offer to use our lounge facility during Brityrex,” confirms NTDA director Richard Edy. “We know that a private venue is always welcome at a busy show and the lounge will allow executives from across the industry to meet, plan their itineraries and benefit from the legislative briefings that will take place.
“As far as the briefings are concerned, they will be short, sharp and to the point and will be an excellent opportunity to understand the key elements of the latest tyre-related legislation that will affect the entire trade,” he says.
In addition to Kirby, BKT and the TIF, show organiser ECI International has welcomed many further well established tyre and equipment names into the show in recent weeks. They include:
Singapore-based manufacturer Stamford Tyres - www.stamfordtyres.com
Bradbury Equipment - www.bradburyequipment.co.uk
Garage equipment specialist Straightset -www.straightset.co.uk
