Southern Africa Treads was started in 1994 and is now in its 13th year of production. It is the only dedicated tyre publication in Southern Africa and enjoys a targeted circulation of 10,000 readers across sub-Saharan Africa. Latest readership figures are estimated at 35,000. As the latest demographics reveal, the largest portion of our mailing list is made up of end users, followed by trade and readers from foreign countries. It is mailed to more than 95 percent of fitment centres and tyre shops around the country, as well as to manufacturers, retreaders and distributors of affiliated products. Our feature articles focus upon both end user and trade, as the magazine strives to address every single sector of the Tyre Industry. However, as the Industry is very dynamic, we do not like to decide on feature topics too far ahead of time. Features in 2007 will include a closer look at the distribution and manufacturing trades in South Africa, a peek into the future as we preview the evolution of tyre technology and our regular annual end user survey to assess service levels.
